This product review has been on the back burner for a while along with several others! I'll try to post them once in a while till I'm done with them.

The Kids Organics Olive and Soy Growth Lotion by Africa's Best came as a set with a shampoo Kids Organics Ultimate Moisture Shea Butter Conditioning Shampoo. With names like that, who could resist....no not I, no not I....and for N850 for the combo I had myself an Easter sales deal! I was sold.

I couldn't wait to use up the last bit of my Aussie Moist Shampoo so I could try the duo out!
I promised myself that I would finish an old product before trying out a new one....that was the best way to curb my bad habit of using a product halfway before starting on a new one! I get really impatient to try out something new!
So I waited....for nearly a month because I had a new weave on!

Take down day, hair dirty and eagerly awaiting my new products, I shampooed my hair.


KIDS ORGANICS ULTIMATE MOISTURE SHEA BUTTER CONDITIONING SHAMPOO




Product promise: Africa's Best Kids Organics Ultimate Moisture Extra Virgin Olive Oil Plus Shea Butter Conditioning Shampoo is a therapeutic herbal formula which gently removes buildup and impurities, thoroughly cleansing the hair and scalp.

My review: The shampoo is pearly purple in color with tiny glitters in it (can see why little girls will like it). It had a nice fragrance kinda fruity which didn't linger.
 It foamed well, washed my hair clean without it being too squeaky clean or too waxy like some conditioning shampoo.
I was fine with it....not really the best but okay especially if you dilute it like I do. Since I didn't get a conditioner with the set, I conditioned with NaturVitale Conditioner for sensitive skin.
Overall, the shampoo can be repurchased. Works well for relaxed hair.

My review: I was really eager to use the growth lotion because ....duh...it is a GROWTH lotion and no petrolatum or mineral oil. I was already having visions of my hair curling down the back of my knees! So I happily squeezed the lotion onto my palms and applied it to my hair.......*tires screeching to a halt*

What was this nonsense?!!!!!
 My hair felt really hard! One moment it was feeling like butter, the next moment it was feeling like an iron sponge!!!!!
What did I do wrong? If this is how it's supposed to grow my hair, then I'm in trouble!
I decided to braid my hair in two, perhaps it'll take a while for it to do the job it was supposed to do! Not only was my hair a greasy mess, it was feeling razor sharp as I was trying to braid into two! I had to wash my hair again...which made it even dryer.....then I did an emergency deep condition to nurse my hair back to its default setting....soft and coily!
Not one to give up so soon....the products for kids nah....I tried it again a week later after shampooing with same results.

I told my sister who is relaxed ( perhaps it was meant for relaxed hair ) and she said she didn't like how greasy it made her hair.
So we ended up using it to clean leather shoes and bags.
Verdict: Dump.
