Hallos, lovely people!!!

So I'll be dyeing my hair again....myself..... and this time, I'll be doing  pintura highlights using Revlon ColorSilk 

As if reading my mind (you guys must be really psychic!!!), Ruutos Hair Care, a natural hair care company based in South Africa sent all the way to me in Nigeria, all their products to try out!!!

OMG, it's like Christmas in November, I tell you!!!

.....and their products are really right up my alley!!!!

No sulfates.

No parabens.

No pthalates.

No mineral oil. 

Little to no fragrance.

No petrolatum.

No debts.

No wahala.

No stress.....lol!!!

They have the Moisture Intense Line for dry dull natural hair....

.....and the Reconstruct Line for damaged, breakage prone hair.

Since colored hair is prone to damage and dryness, I'm using these Reconstruct  products from Ruutos to make sure my hair is in tip top condition before colour treatment in December:

1. Ruutos Reconstruct Intense Anti-breakage Mask which is infused with hydrolysed collagen (improves hair elasticity), hydrolysed keratin (natural hair protein) and biotin.

2. Ruutos Reconstruct split end serum which is a silicone free, water based serum that is formulated with keratin, biotin, D-Pathenol and aloe vera to help strengthen ends and 'prevent' split ends! Absorbs into my hair instantly! ....

3. Ruutos Moisture Intense Hair Butter to make sure my hair stays moisturised always!!!

If you've read this post , you'll know that Sheamoisture African Black Soap Purification Masque is my #holygrail product when it comes to prepping for my wash and gos!

At one time, it seemed like SheaMoisture wanted to discontinue the Purification Masque (clutches coral beads) and replace it with the SheaMoisture African Black Soap  Dandruff Control Hair Masque but God was in control!

Anyway, it gave me an opportunity to try out the Dandruff Control Masque and here's a comparison.

Slip:

 The Purification Masque has more slip than the Dandruff Control for detangling my #finenaturalhair

Consistency: 

The Dandruff Control Masque is thicker than the Purification Masque. Also the Purification Masque is more like a clay masque while the Dandruff Control is more like a regular Masque. 

Scent:

 Purification Masque smells like bananas/plantain  while the Dandruff Control Masque smells minty.

Size: 

Both come in a 12oz tub.

My thoughts:

 For me, the Purification Masque has a lot of slip which makes application easier. It also moisturises my hair like kilode! The Dandruff Control Masque performs better with heat. I can even leave it in but definitely have to rinse out the Purification Masque or my hair looks ashy.

Also, I don't have dry itchy scalp so wouldn't vouch for them when it comes to that but I've been told it works by two naturalistas.

Verdict: Purification Masque 4/5 ; 

Dandruff Control 3/5

I use this for my everyday makeup look. 

The brownish color goes over my eyelids to crease, the reddish color goes into my crease to warm up my eyes and the gold goes into inner corners of my eyes and a little on my brow bone.

Eyesome Beauty Glueless Glitter Eyeshadow Quad

I went for a makeup fair in Enugu with the Head Makeup artist for SleekBeauty Studio, Awka. I was really out of my depth in the makeup field. Seriously, I didn't even know where to start!

Fena advised me to get this quad to glam up my eyes for weddings and major events. She sold me on how easy it will be to use and how I didn't even need glitter glue. Just apply and go.
