Finding the right products to keep my oily, still acne prone skin moisturized used to be a challenge.

I think more emphasis is placed on moisturising products for dry/normal skin than oily skin. As a result, many moisturising products tend to be greasy and heavy. The lighter, even gel like formulas geared towards oily skin tend not to be moisturising enough.

Thanks to my current interest in Korean skincare routine, I found the solution to hydration in a simple key ingredient called hyaluronic acid. 💦

It's a naturally occurring molecule found in skin. It has the capacity of holding and retaining water molecules as much as 1000 times its  size thus maintaining skin plumpness and moisture. It also plays a role in wound healing. 

It's production decreases as we age. Thankfully, there are other ways to introduce this important ingredient.

Introducing hyaluronic acid into my skin care regimen is one of the best decisions I've taken. I wish I didn't wait until I hit the big three o to start!
